Your authority to exercise discretion allows the management of portfolios without the delays inherent in obtaining your prior approval to undertake transactions. It is increasingly important today to act swiftly in response to changing market conditions.
Each client opting for this service will have a personal investment manager appointed to them, who will be responsible for agreeing a suitable investment strategy based on their requirements. A discretionary portfolio will usually be invested in a combination of international equities, bonds and Offshore funds. Portfolios are monitored on a day to day basis by the investment manager, who works as part of a team to achieve continuity. This service is undertaken for clients with more substantial investment assets.
